Recently Columbus CEO featured Heartland Charging Services and highlighted the motivation behind our goal to tackle the lack of EV infrastructure in the Midwest.

“We realized quickly EV charging services are a marketplace not well represented in the Midwest,” said Jeff Brock, Heartland Charging Services’ CEO.

The Heartland Charging Services Columbus CEO feature includes interviews with our co-founders, Brian Borkowski and Jeff Brock.

Brian and Jeff discussed how Heartland Charging Services fills a need in the rapidly growing EV market. Electric vehicles are growing exponentially in popularity. But where do you charge your electric car if you don’t have a garage?

The two are hoping to fill that gap by offering an end-to-end solution for electric vehicle charging stations. They explained that Heartland Charging Services helps create a system plan, provides the installation and then offers ongoing maintenance for the EV charging system.

While many electric vehicle charging stations are closed loop, Brian and Jeff explained that they’re offering much more flexibility that serves every style of EV.

“People are racing to put [EV stations] in with zero plan to maintain them. We are looking at a local workforce stood up to maintain these. And I want to use vets to do these jobs,” said Brian Borkowski, Heartland Charging Services’ co-founder.

Brian is a former United States Army Officer (17 Years total service) and a veteran of multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
